Areas We Serve
Where Jeff McCarthy practices across Will County and the Southwest Suburbs
From our office in Lockport, Jeff McCarthy represents individuals and families across Will County and the greater Chicagoland area in family law, real estate, criminal and DUI defense, and bankruptcy.

Inspired Law Group is proud to serve clients throughout Will County and nearby communities. With more than 30 years of local experience, Jeff knows the area's courts, judges, and procedures, and brings that knowledge to every case, wherever you call home. One practical point many clients find helpful: no matter which Will County town you live in, family, criminal, traffic, and DUI cases are heard at the Will County Courthouse in Joliet. Our courthouse guide covers what to expect, and our Joliet page explains how we represent clients there.
Lockport
Our office is at 136 E 9th St, a short walk from downtown. Lockport clients bring us the full menu: divorce and parenting time, home closings, traffic tickets, and the occasional Chapter 7.
Joliet
The county seat, where the Will County Courthouse hears every family, criminal, and traffic case we handle. Read how we work there on our Joliet family law and Joliet criminal and DUI pages.
Homer Glen
Homer Glen borders Lockport, so the office is close when documents need signing. Most of our Homer Glen work is divorce, parenting time, and home closings.
Romeoville
Romeoville cases are usually custody, child support, or a first-offense DUI, all heard in Joliet. Jeff handles each one personally from filing to final order.
Lemont
Neighboring Lemont comes to us for divorce, prenuptial agreements, and post-decree changes when an order stops fitting real life.
Crest Hill
Crest Hill sits between our office and the courthouse, and its matters are often criminal or traffic defense with a family law case close behind. One attorney handles both sides of that picture.
New Lenox
New Lenox and the Lincoln-Way area send us divorce and custody work plus a steady run of home closings. US 30 puts the office on the way.
Mokena
In Mokena the matter is usually a home closing, a deed correction, or a divorce that needs to stay civil for the kids. Jeff has handled all three for decades.
Orland Park
Orland Park sits just across the county line. Its families come to us for divorce, real estate contracts, and deed work when they want one attorney on the file start to finish.
Plainfield
Plainfield is growing fast, and growth brings parenting schedules across two households, child support questions, and new-construction closings. We handle all three, in Joliet courtrooms and at the closing table.
Bolingbrook
Bolingbrook brings the widest mix: divorce and custody, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13, home sales and purchases. Every file stays on Jeff's desk.
Frankfort
Frankfort matters lean property heavy: prenuptial agreements, property and pension division, and closings. Detail work is where 30 years of experience earns its keep.
Tinley Park
Tinley Park spans the Cook and Will County line, which changes where a case gets filed. We sort the venue question first, then handle the divorce, DUI, or closing that brought you in.
Shorewood
Shorewood borders Joliet, so its cases land in the same courtrooms we already appear in. Divorce, parenting time, and ticket defense are the common asks.
Manhattan
Manhattan and the towns south of New Lenox send us custody and support enforcement matters, plus closings as new subdivisions go in. Small-town cases get the same preparation as big ones.
Channahon
Channahon sits on the I-55 corridor at the county's southwest edge. Traffic and DUI stops there feed the same Will County courtrooms, and we defend them the same way.
Minooka
Minooka sits where three counties meet along I-80, so the first question is which county your case belongs in. Bring your paperwork and Jeff will tell you, then take the case if it is heard in a court he practices in.
Wilmington
Down along the Kankakee River, Wilmington families use us for divorce, bankruptcy, and real estate. Distance rarely matters now: filings are electronic and many hearings run through the circuit's remote system. See the courthouse guide.
Where your case is heard
Your address decides which court hears your case, not where our office is. Most of the towns we serve are in Will County, so their cases go to the Will County Courthouse in Joliet. A few sit on a county line, and Jeff confirms the county from your address before anything is filed, because a case filed in the wrong county gets moved, not decided.
